I have 30 years of experience in the Special Education and Disability field and hold a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado. During the years, I have taken many special education classes and received certificates.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting families and assisting them to find the community resources that they need for their son or daughter. I have been involved in the disability community for many years and have a large list of resources, both locally and nationally. Formerly, as the Director of Transition for College Living Experience (CLE) I provided assistance in the admissions process for the post-secondary students with special needs and their families by helping them transition from living at home to living independently. I also assisted in their admission and attendance in college or work related training.
I have held positions at Developmental Pathways, Jewish Family Services and Children’s Hospital Colorado and served on the Governor appointed Colorado Advisory Council for People with Disabilities and the State Rehabilitation Council.
At Humanex I support all incoming and present students and their families with any needs they may have to help them be successful now and in the future.
